Organization of Women’s Freedom in Iraq
Challenge: This community-based women’s right group needed to increase funding to meet expanding need in a complex and volatile setting.
Key Project: Consulting over a period of years, Anne both wrote grants and put systems in place to manage grant seeking, monitor activities for accurate grant reporting, and track funding flows over time.
Impact: $3,760,337 in grants awarded, including from major new funders such as Norad and the European Union.
Endorsement: “Anne helped us communicate clearly to funders how the work we do at different levels of society — all to address the violence and abuses the women of Iraq experience — interact and support each other. She helped us think strategically and communicate our work in a compelling way. She also helped us elevate the administrative and financial performance of our NGO. Anne suggests efficient solutions for complex tasks and does it in such a composed and calm manner.”
— Yanar Mohammed, President
Safe Passage
Challenge: The new Executive Director of this organization in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, which supports victims of domestic and sexual violence, came into the role with deep program background but no fundraising experience.
Key Project: As the Executive Director’s fundraising coach, Anne helped Safe Passage plan ahead for a robust year-end fundraising campaign.
Impact: Initially, the goal for Safe Passage’s 2018 year-end campaign was $7,000. It was later increased to $8,000. However, after the holidays when all December gifts were recorded, the organization saw an incredible $17,000 total—more than double their goal.
Endorsement: “I knew I wanted to work with a fundraising coach and have someone to learn from and bounce ideas off of. I wanted to give myself a strong foundation in fundraising and feel like the decisions that we were making were well thought out and based on best practice.”

Garden City Arts
Challenge: 2020 looked to be a very difficult year for Garden City Arts, a community arts center located in rural Kansas. Revenue from paid programming was down by more than 50% and they anticipated that donations from individuals would also decline.
Key Project: As the Executive Director’s fundraising coach, Anne helped GCA successfully launch its first annual Membership Campaign, utilizing existing gift data to create a targeted approach.
Impact: This successful campaign exceeded its goals, enrolling 43 donors in recurring giving, 25% of them new donors, and creating an effective system for future years. Thanks to this and other new fundraising strategies, Garden City Arts ended the year with a very healthy surplus.
Endorsement: “Anne is fantastic at providing feedback, encouragement and constructive criticism that helps empower me to complete fundraising tasks that I otherwise would feel overwhelmed attempting.”
— Katy Guthrie, Executive Director
